Live voice hangouts, and singing together on karaoke nights.
Live audio rooms
- An audio room is a live voice hangout for up
to 6 members. Create one, name it, and friends can
drop in.
- Your voice travels directly between browsers over
encrypted WebRTC — it is never recorded and never touches
the server. When the room ends, it's gone.
- The room's creator (or a moderator) can end the room; anyone can
leave at any time.
Karaoke nights
- A karaoke night is an audio room with
a song queue: the host opens the stage, members add
YouTube karaoke tracks, and each song has one mic to
claim.
- Sing over the backing track while everyone listens in the room;
after each song the host marks it sung and it joins the
setlist, where members leave 👏 applause.
- YouTube's player loads only after you press play —
nothing loads from YouTube before that.
Same rules as everywhere else on MyWBS: be decent.
Moderators can step into any room.
