Cooking clubs ๐ฒ
- A cooking club gathers around a
shared cookbook: bring one of your Recipes Corner
dishes, or write a new recipe in the club โ it joins the corner
too, with your name on it. Authors get a bell when a club picks
their dish.
- The club owner starts a cook-along โ "now
cooking: goulash" โ and everyone makes the same dish and posts an
attempt: a photo and how it went. Burnt edges
count as caramelized.
- One dish at a time: starting the next cook-along shelves the
previous one, attempts and all.
Gardening clubs ๐ฑ
- In a gardening club, every plant
is a grow diary: plant it, then post photo updates
as it sprouts, blooms, and (hopefully) survives. The club page
shows each plant's latest photo with its timeline behind it.
- Clubmates cheer ๐ฑ growing strong on plants;
when yours is done, mark it ๐งบ harvested and it
retires to the club's harvest shelf.
- Only you tend your plants โ the greenhouse chat is where
everyone else's advice goes.
Hiking clubs ๐ฅพ
- A hiking club keeps a shared
trail book. Add a trail with notes and a photo โ
or drop in a .gpx file from your watch and it
becomes a real map with distance, total ascent, and an elevation
profile.
- The GPX file never leaves your browser โ it is
parsed on your machine and only the simplified line you see in
the preview is saved. A track shows where you walked, so trim
anything near home in your GPS app first.
- Rate trails ๐ฅพ worth the climb, and plan the
next outing in the trailhead chat.
Running clubs ๐
- A running club keeps a shared
run log: log the date, distance, and time โ your
pace is computed for you โ and chase the
monthly mileage board, which sums every member's
kilometers ("together this month: 214 km").
- Attach a .gpx route and the distance and time
fill themselves in; like hiking trails, the file never leaves
your browser and only the simplified line is stored. Runs are
visible to clubmates and never searchable.
- Give good runs ๐ kudos โ it rings the
runner's bell.
Puzzle clubs ๐งฉ
- A puzzle club keeps one
shared jigsaw on the table, cut from a member's own
photo (mini 12, classic 48, or grand 96 pieces). Pick a piece
from the tray, click where it belongs โ if it fits, it locks in
with your name on it.
- Ten pieces per member per hour โ leave some
for the others; that limit is the togetherness. The board fills
in live as clubmates drop by.
- The last piece rings every contributor's bell, and the
finished picture joins the club gallery with
everyone's piece counts. Then the next puzzle gets tipped
out.
Cycling clubs ๐ด
- A cycling club works like a
running club with cycling's numbers: log distance and time and
get your average speed; a .gpx route also fills
in the climbing, drawn as an elevation profile
under the map. Tag each ride with the bike โ road, gravel,
mountain, or city.
- The monthly board sums kilometers and meters
climbed for the whole club. Rides, like runs, are
visible to clubmates and never searchable, and the GPX file
never leaves your browser.
- Good rides earn ๐ด kudos; the cafรฉ stop chat
is where the headwind stories grow taller.
Book clubs
- Start a book club, set the
current book, and talk about it with the members
who join.
- Picking the next book automatically shelves the previous one on
the club's finished list โ a slow-growing trophy
case of everything you've read together.
Your clubs, all in one place
- The top of the Clubs hub lists
every club you belong to, whatever its kind, with
what's new since you last opened it โ messages, and the things
that kind of club makes: book picks, games, recipes, plants,
trails, runs, rides, tips, puzzle pieces.
- Only other members' activity counts as new; opening a
club clears its count. The rail's Clubs entry
shows how many of your clubs have something waiting.
