Any member can create a group; every group has a category — sports, music, travel, movies, books, food, games, tech, photography, pets, local, or other — and the directory filters by them.
Join a group and its posts join your feed; leave whenever you like.
Group creators can manage what's posted inside.

Events

Create an event — a meetup, a stream, an anniversary — set the time, and invite friends.
Invitees RSVP yes/no; the guest list shows who's coming.
Event times are shown in your own timezone.

Hosting something live on the site itself? Look at audio rooms, movie nights, and trivia nights — they pair well with an event as the calendar entry.
